Suppliers and Reps
20th JuneHaving been a ‘rep’ myself (well they kindly gave me the title of Regional Sales Manager), I think it’s really important to build a link with your supplier through your rep. They are the people who can support you with the product they distribute, and can keep you updated with any new products on the market. Don’t get me wrong, we do that for you too, but the reps want you to know asap, and will be happy to tell you all about any new innovations or variations on what they already sell. That’s their job. So next time a rep calls you, don’t usher them away, thinking they are always there to sell to you. Sometimes, they are there to see how business is going as it’s in their best interest to make sure you’re doing well. They could be your source of information to see what’s working in the industry, which advertising works best, which innovations people are taking on board successfully, what trends are occuring, and can link you with other like minded practitioners.
I am lucky enough to be invited to Cannes, for an ‘Expert Day’ by a dermal filler supplier…
